How Our Pharmacy Works
At Marara Pharmacy we specialize in delivering your prescriptions directly to your door, nationwide, with no hassle. Here’s what you can expect:
1. Easy Prescription Transfers
Simply provide us with your current prescriptions by sending it to us via email or by uploading it on our website, and we’ll take care of the rest. If you’re transferring from another pharmacy, our team will handle the process for you.
2. Convenient Delivery
Once your prescriptions are filled, we'll ship them to your home or preferred address. No more waiting in lines! Dependant on your location, you should receive your medication within 3 – 4 days from us receiving your prescription.

How Does This Affect You?
- From 1 January 2025, all BonCap, Primary and Primary Select members that are currently on chronic medication or have regular prescriptions will be transitioned to Marara Pharmacy.
- There might be a period where you and your family members may not be receiving your medication at the same time or from the same provider, until all your current prescriptions have been concluded and moved to Marara Pharmacy.
- For all other Bonitas options that are linked to a designed service provider, a 30% co-payment will apply, should you select to get your medication from our pharmacy in 2025.

Your current active prescription maybe be concluded by Pharmacy Direct without a co-payment until 31 May 2025, where after you will send your new prescription to Marara Pharmacy and have your medication delivered to your home/work or doctor’s rooms. After this period, a 30% co-payment will be applied.

Your script may be dispensed by Pharmacy Direct until the 28 February 2025, after which a 30% co-payment will apply.

Changes to your chronic medicine benefits
One of our key changes for 2025 is the re-alignment of our formularies across all plans. This will help us to ensure that our members get access to the most clinically appropriate medicine to treat their chronic conditions at an affordable cost.

How this will impact you
If you continue to use this medicine for 2025, you will need to pay a co-payment of 30% of the cost of the medicine. You can avoid this co-payment by selecting another medicine to treat your condition from the formulary for your plan. Your doctor or pharmacist can help you to make an informed decision to best suit your needs. If your medicine requires a new prescription you will need to consult your doctor.
We will automatically update your chronic authorisation if you change to a medicine on the formulary.
